พระกรุวัดบางยี่หน จัดว่าเป็นพระกรุเนื้อดินของจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรีที่ได้รับความนิยมและมีประสบการณ์สูงมากทางด้านคงกระพันและแคล้วคลาด จากคำบอกเล่าของนักสะสมพระรุ่นเก่าๆได้บอกเล่ากันว่าพระกรุวัดบางยี่หนนั้นสร้างขึ้นประมาณปี2445โดยหลวงพ่อหยัด ซึ่งเป็นเกจิอาจารย์ยุคเก่าของจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรีรุ่นราวคราวเดียวกับหลวงพ่อเนียม วัดน้อยและท่านทั้งสองยังเป็นสหธรรมมิกกันอีกด้วยมักไปมาหาสู่และแลกเปลี่ยนวิชากันอยู่เสมอ นอกจากหลวงพ่อหยัดจะปลุกเสกแล้วท่านยังนิมนต์หลวงพ่อแก้ว วัดสวนหงษ์ซึ่งเป็นเกจิอาจารย์ยุคเก่าของจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรีที่มีวิชาอาคมแก่กล้ามากอีกท่านหนึ่งร่วมปลุกเสกพระรุ่นนี้ให้อีกรอบหนึ่งด้วย แล้วจึงนำพระทั้งหมดบรรจุในเจดีย์เพื่อสืบทอดพระศาสนาตามคติความเชื่อของเกจิอาจารย์ยุคเก่า พระกรุวัดบางยี่หนมีการแตกกรุออกมาในปี2504 เนื่องจากมีคนร้ายมีลักลอบขุดเจดีย์เพื่อหาสมบัติ แต่พระอาจารย์พ่วง เจ้าอาวาสวัดบางยี่หนในขณะนั้นได้มาพบเข้าเสียก่อนทำให้คนร้ายได้หนีไปจึงได้พระเครื่องออกไปไม่มากเท่าใดนัก เมื่อพระอาจารย์พ่วง มาสำรวจปรากฎว่าเจดีย์ได้ถูกเจาะเป็นโพรงท่านจึงเข้าไปสำรวจดูจึงพบพระเครื่องเนื้อดินเผาบรรจุอยู่ในเจดีย์เป็นจำนวนมากท่านจึงให้นำพระเครื่องทั้งหมดขึ้นจากกรุมาเก็บรักษาใว้ หลังจากที่พระอาจารย์พ่วง ได้นำพระทั้งหมดขึ้นมาจากกรุก็ได้มีชาวบ้านได้ไปขอรับพระเครื่องดังกล่าวไปเป็นจำนวนมาก และได้มีชาวบ้านหลายรายได้นำพระเครื่องไปทดลองยิงแต่ปืนยิงไม่ออกจึงเป็นที่ฮือฮากันมากในสมัยนั้น เมื่อข่าวได้แพร่สพัดออกไปก็มีชาวบ้านทั้งในพื้นที่และต่างพื้นที่ได้เข้าไปขอพระกรุนี้ไปเป็นจำนวนมากจนพระหมดไปจากวัดบางยี่หน พระกรุวัดบางยี่หนมีด้วยกัน2พิมพ์คือพิมพ์เชียงแสนและพิมพ์ชินราช องค์ที่นำมาลงนี้เป็นพิมพ์เชียงแสน2หน้าซึ่งจัดว่าเป็นพิมพ์หายากและได้รับความนิยมสูงสุดของพระกรุนี้สภาพจัดว่าสวยสมบูรณ์มากมีดีกรีติดรางวัลที่2งานประกวดพระเครื่องพระบูชาไทยที่ศูนย์ราชการแจ้งวัฒนะ(งานสมาคมฯ)เมื่อวันที่11/7/2560 และยังมาพร้อมบัตรรับรองพระแท้จากนิตยสารพระท่าพระจันทร์ให้อีกหนึ่งใบ พระกรุวัดบางยี่หนจัดว่าเป็นพระเนื้อดินเผายอดนิยมที่มีประสบการณ์สูงมากและราคายังไม่แพงจนเกินไปนักจัดว่าเป็นพระเครื่องที่น่าใช้ติดตัวมากๆ
