หลวงพ่อวิริยังค์ วัดธรรมมงคล เป็นพระสายกรรมฐานลูกศิษย์สายพระอาจารย์มั่น ภูริทัตโต ท่านได้นำหยกแท้ๆก้อนมหึมาจากประเทศแคนาดา มาแกะเป็นรูปพระพุทธรูปหยกที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นหยกศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่ท่านนั่งกรรมฐานและเห็นในนิมิตรแล้วก็พบเจอจริงๆในประเทศแคนาดาซึ่งถือว่าเป็นเรื่องที่น่าอัศจรรย์มาก หยกก้อนมหึมาน้ำหนัก 32 ตัน ถูกพบที่เมืองแวนคูเวอร์ รัฐบริทิชโคลัมเบีย ประเทศแคนาดา เมื่อวันที่ 16 สิงหาคม ปี2534 ขุดค้นพบโดย นายจอห์น สกัลเลอร์ ซึ่งขุดพบที่เหมืองทองไม่ใช่เหมืองหยกเหมือนหยกทั่วไป แต่สันนิษฐานว่าถิ่นกำเนิดหยกก้อนนี้คือยอดเขาคิงส์เม้าท์เท่น ซึ่งเคลื่อนตัวมาที่บ่อทองคำ คำนวณการเดินทางโดยประมาณ 8000 ถึง 10,000 ปี เมื่อทำการขุดขึ้นมาได้สำเร็จแล้ว ดำเนินการส่งลงเรือเพื่อนำมาประเทศไทยในเดือนมกราคม ปี2535 ถึงวัดธรรมมงคลวันที่ 1 กุมภาพันธ์ ปี2535 หยกก้อนนี้ได้แบ่งเป็นสองส่วน ส่วนที่แรกนำมาแกะสลักเป็นองค์พระพุทธรูป ส่วนที่สองนำมาแกะสลักเป็นเจ้าแม่กวนอิม ดำเนินการแกะสลักโดยช่างผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากประเทศอิตาลี สำหรับชิ้นส่วนของหยกที่เหลือจากการแกะพระพทธรูปองค์ใหญ่ในตอนนั้น หลวงพ่อวิริยังค์ได้ให้ช่างนำมาแกะเป็นพระเครื่องด้วยมือทีละองค์ ดังนั้นพระทุกองค์จะไม่เหมือนกัน ได้นำมาแกะเป็นพระพิมพ์ต่างๆ อาทิเช่น พิมพ์พระหลังพิงกระดาน พิมพ์พระพุทธ พิมพ์สมเด็จต่างๆ พิมพ์นางพญา พิมพ์พระสังกัจจายน์ พิมพ์เจ้าแม่กวนอิมนั่ง พิมพ์เจ้าแม่กวนอิมยืนฯลฯ องค์ที่นำมาลงนี้เรียกว่าพระหลังพิงกระดาน สร้างเป็นรุ่นแรกในปี2536 จัดว่าเป็นพิมพ์นิยมหายาก สภาพสวยสมบูรณ์พร้อมกล่องเดิมๆ หยก เป็นอัญมณีศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ที่ก่อให้เกิดความเจริญรุ่งเรือง ความโชคดีและทำให้ผู้ที่สวมใส่มีอายุยืนยาว นอกจากนี้ ชาวจีนยังเชื่อด้วยว่า หยก สามารถใช้เป็นลางบอกเหตุให้แก่ผู้สวมใส่ได้ โดยสังเกตจากสีของหยก หากมีสีสดใสแสดงว่ากำลังจะมีโชค ตรงกันข้ามหาก หยก มีสีหมองคล้ำหรือเกิดรอยแตกร้าวแสดงว่าอาจจะมีเคราะห์มาเยือน
