การสร้างพระพิมพ์ในเมืองกำแพงเพชรนั้น สันนิษฐานว่า มีมานับแต่สมัยสุโขทัย(ประมาณพุทธศตวรรษที่18 –19 นิยมทำด้วยวัสดุต่างๆ เช่น ว่าน(ดินผสมว่าน) ชินเงิน(ตะกั่วผสมดีบุก) ดินเผา พระพิมพ์เมืองกำแพงเพชรเป็นที่นับถือในพุทธคุณด้านโชคลาภและการป้องกันภยันตรายต่าง ๆ จึงเป็นที่ต้องการของคนทั่วไปนับแต่อดีต
พระพิมพ์จากกรุในเมืองกำแพงเพชรที่มีชื่อเสียงเป็นที่รู้จักโดยทั่วไป ได้แก่
