หลวงปู่หลิว วัดไร่แตงทอง นั้นเป็นพระเกจิอาจารย์ที่มีวิชาอาคมแกร่งกล้ามาก ท่านได้ศึกษาวิชาอาคมมาจากพระเกจิอาจารย์ยุคเก่าหลายๆท่านเช่น หลวงพ่อแดง วัดเขาบรรไดอิฐ พ่อท่านคล้าย วัดสวนขัน หลวงพ่อแหยม วัดบ้านเลือก หลวงพ่ออินทร์ วัดโบสถ์ และหลวงพ่อย่น วัดบ้านฆ้องใหญ่ ซึ่งเป็นผู้ถ่ายทอดวิชาพญาเต่าเรือนให้แก่หลวงปู่หลิว และท่านยังได้เดินทางไปศึกษาวิชาอาคมกับอาจารย์ฆาราวาสชาวกระเหรี่ยงในป่าลึกอีกด้วย ท่านได้เคยเล่าให้เหล่าลูกศิษย์ฟังว่าท่านอาจารย์ชาวกระเหรี่ยงผู้นี้มีวิชาอาคมเข้มขลังมากครั้งแรกนั้นท่านได้เดินทางไปเรียนตั้งแต่วัยหนุ่มในสมัยที่ท่านยังไม่ได้บวช และอีกครั้งได้ไปเรียนหลังจากที่ท่านได้บวชแล้วโดยครั้งที่สองนี้ท่านได้ไปเรียนเน้นเฉพาะวิชาด้านเมตตามหานิยมและคงกระพันโดยเฉพาะทำให้ท่านมีวิชาอาคมหลายแขนงมาก หลวงปู่หลิวนั้นเป็นพระที่มีเมตตาสูงท่านได้เมตตาสร้างและอุปถัมภ์วัดไว้มากมายหลายๆแห่งแต่วัตถุมงคลของหลวงปู่หลิวที่ได้รับความนิยมมากนั้นจะมีด้วยกัน 4วัด ได้แก่ 1.วัดสนามแย้ เป็นวัดแรกที่ท่านได้จำวัดอยู่และได้สร้างวัตถุมงคลในยุคแรกๆ 2.วัดไร่แตงทอง เป็นวัดที่ท่านสร้างขึ้น 3.วัดไทรทอง เป็นวัดที่ท่านสร้างขึ้น 4.วัดหนองอ้อ เป็นวัดบ้านเกิดของท่านและท่านจำวัดอยู่ที่วัดนี้จนมรณะภาพโดยวัตถุมงคลส่วนมากจะสร้างจาก4วัดนี้มากที่สุด วัตถุมงคลที่สร้างชื่อให้ท่านมากที่สุดได้แก่เหรียญพญาเต่าเรือน ซึ่งในปัจจุบันหลายๆรุ่นมีราคาสูงมาก นอกจากพญาเต่าเรือนแล้วหลวงปู่หลิวก็ยังสร้างวัตถุมงคล อีกหลายอย่างใว้ให้ลูกศิษย์ได้ใว้ใช้ เช่น จิ้งจก เบี้ยแก้ กัญหา-ชาลี ผ้ายันต์แบบต่างๆ ฯลฯ กล่าวถึงผ้ายันต์ประกันชีวิตของหลวงปู่หลิวนั้นในยุคแรกๆนั้นหลวงปู่หลิวจะเขียนยันต์ด้วยมือท่านเอง เพื่อให้ลูกศิษย์นำไปใช้ติดตัวหรือส่วนมากจะนำไปใส่ใว้ในรถเพื่อให้แคล้วคลาดปลอดภัยจากอุบัติเหตุต่างๆ เมื่อลูกศิษย์ได้นำไปใช้ได้พบเจอประสบการณ์ปาฎิหารมากมายในด้านแคล้วคลาดปลอดภัยทำให้มีความต้องการเป็นอันมาก ในปี2539 จึงมีการจัดสร้างผ้ายันต์แบบปั๊มขึ้นมา มีด้วยกันทั้งหมด 3สี ได้แก่ แดง ขาว เหลือง ซึ่งได้รับความนิยมทุกสี ผู้ที่ได้นำไปใช้ต่างก็ได้พบเจอประสบการณ์มากมายไม่ต่างจากผ้ายันต์ที่หลวงปู่หลิวเขียนด้วยมือท่านเองเลยทีเดียว ชิ้นที่นำมาลงนี้เป็นแบบปั๊มสร้างในปี2539 สีขาว สภาพสวยสมบูรณ์ มีลงในหนังสือประวัติและวัตถุมงคลของหลวงปู่หลิว ออกโดยวัดไร่แตงทอง ประวัติชัดเจน
