พระกรุวัดตะไกร เป็นพระกรุเก่าแก่ยอดนิยมของ จังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา มีอายุเก่าแก่กว่า2-300ปี เป็นที่นิยมสะสมอย่างกว้างขวางมาแต่โบราณ โด่งดังมาพร้อมกับพระกริ่งคลองตะเคียน ปัจจุบันเรียกว่าหาของแท้จริงๆนั้นค่อนข้างยาก วัดตะไกร ตั้งอยู่ที่คลองสระบัว อ.พระนครศรีอยุธยา จ.พระนครศรีอยุธยา ปัจจุบันเป็นวัดร้าง วัดนี้ไม่ปรากฏหลักฐานว่าใครเป็นผู้สร้าง พระกรุวัดตะไกรพบแตกกรุออกมาครั้งแรก เมื่อประมาณ ปี พ.ศ.2470 พระที่พบส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นพระเนื้อดินเผา ที่พบเป็นเนื้อชินก็มีแต่ค่อนข้างน้อย ผู้ที่นำพระกรุวัดตะไกรบูชาติดตัวนั้นต่างก็มีประสบการณ์กันมากในด้านอยู่ยงคงกระพัน โดยเฉพาะในช่วงสงครามโลกครั้งที่สอง จากนั้นมาผู้คนจึงเริ่มเสาะแสวงหาและกลายเป็นที่นิยมกันเรื่อยมา พระกรุวัดตะไกรนั้นเท่าที่พบมีทั้งเนื้อดิน เนื้อชิน และ เนื้อชินสนิมแดง แต่พระเนื้อดินจะเป็นที่นิยมมากกว่า อาจเป็นเพราะมีจำนวนมากกว่า ซึ่งพระบางองค์มีการลงรักปิดทองมาจากกรุก็มี พระกรุวัดตะไกรนั้นเท่าที่พบทั้งหมดจะแบ่งออกเป็น3พิมพ์ได้แก่ 1.พิมพ์หน้าครุฑ 2.พิมพ์หน้ามงคล 3.พิมพ์หน้าฤาษี พระกรุวัดตะไกร นับเป็นพระกรุเก่าที่มีพุทธคุณเป็นที่เลื่องลือมาแต่โบร่ำโบราณควบคู่มากับพระกริ่งคลองตะเคียน ว่าเป็นเลิศในด้านแคล้วคลาดและคงกระพันชาตรี นอกจากนี้ยังช่วยเสริมยศศักดิ์เสริมบารมี ป้องกันเขี้ยวงาสัตว์ร้ายต่างๆ และเป็นเมตตามหานิยมอีกด้วย ปัจจุบันแทบจะไม่ค่อยพบเจอพระแท้จริงๆเท่าใดนัก เพราะผู้ที่มีใว้บูชาต่างหวงแหนเก็บไว้ไม่ค่อยนำออกมาให้บูชาต่อกันสักเท่าไหร่ องค์ที่นำมาลงนี้เป็นเนื้อดินพิมพ์หน้ามงคล มีการปิดทองมาแต่เดิมสภาพจัดว่าสวยสมบูรณ์มาก ขนาดไม่ใหญ่และไม่เล็กจนเกินไปเหมาะสำหรับนำมาห้อยคอมาก มาพร้อมบัตรรับรองพระแท้จากนิตยสารพระท่าพระจันทร์ซึ่งมีมาตราฐานได้รับการยอมรับอย่างกว้างขวาง พระกรุวัดตะไกรนั้นจัดว่าเป็นพระกรุที่ได้รับความนิยมอันดับต้นๆของจังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยาและของประเทศไทยมีประสบการณ์สูงมาแต่โบราณมีพุทธคุณที่เชื่อถือได้นำมาห้อยไม่หนักคอเปล่าแน่นอน
